V-mach Cobra .177
This is #1 of 5 Vmach Cobras made by Steve Pope.
WhenI first purchased this rifle it was in a left hand exhibition grade walnut Cobra stock. A very particular pattern. I approached Steve Pope and asked, on the off-chance whether he would know where I could get a right hand cobra stock. Coincidently, Steve had been testing his own stock duplicator on a piece of Black American Walnut, using the cobra stock form, and had one for sale. What are the chances?
As this was a rare and valuable beast, I sent the stock off for refinishing to James Reynolds at Woodworking Gunsmith in Yorkshire. James chequered the pistol grip, and sharpened all the crvature, moudling and stock formes to ensure they were uncompromised. Then refinished to a deep oil finish. This is the result.
An engraved action gold plated trigger and engraved guard. Seamless moderator integrated into the barrel. Sublime engineering on all fronts by Steve Pope.
Rare as ‘rocking horse...’
